Lockdown in France extended

Last night the French government extended the lockdown to 11th May 2020, and is expected to gradually release certain freedoms – eg nursery & primary schools, some workplaces, especially manufacturing. The accommodation and tourist industry will remain on lockdown possibly till July (but we await further developments).

For guests who were scheduled to arrive in May, we have already contacted and explained the situation and the new rules regarding rolling the dates of their holiday forward if possible. For guests due to arrive from June onwards, please message me if you wish to look at options. The French government is asking that we roll forward holiday bookings to the same date in 2021 at no extra cost. We do not expect guests to pay the balance of their holiday until 2021.

If you decide to cancel, please check your insurance provider first to see if you are covered. If you have no travel insurance then be advised that the French government has installed new ordnances telling us NOT to refund, but to offer a credit note for the amount which if unused for your holiday can only be redeemed after 18 months. Naturally, we would rather you would agree to moving your dates to 2021.
